To be completely honest, I’ve never been a big Black Friday shopper. I never saw the appeal of going out after Thanksgiving or at the crack of dawn to get some item that may or may not be on a really good sale. Where I get my thrill is online shopping for Black Friday, especially for Christmas gifts. If I can get all the same deals without leaving my couch, it’s a win-win.
In this post, I thought I would share what I bought this Black Friday.
I needed a good pair of light wash jeans. Ever since purchasing my Dr. Martens, I’ve been loving the look of pairing them with light wash jeans. A few months back, bought a pair of high rise straight cropped jeans from Levi’s and love the fit of them, so when it was offering 40 percent off for Black Friday, I couldn’t resist.
I came across Mark & Graham in a blog post from one of my favorite bloggers. I was intrigued by the sheer number of fun house gifts it had and that you could get them personalized! I got one of these for one of my girlfriends and her boyfriend and I can’t wait to hear her reaction! It didn’t help that it was 20% off either.
When I saw this, I knew it was going to be perfect for one of my guy friends. It is the perfect “catch all” tray for wallets, keys, and anything else one might keep in their pockets. The wood finish not only looks modern, but has a feel of midcentury as well. And, it was 20% off.
Since my brother lives in Florida now, I thought this would be a cute addition for his Christmas tree. I love the gifts that are for long-distance relationships. I don’t know about you, but every time I see that drawn line from one location to another, it makes me smile.
I came across this book from The Pappas Post, a Greek-American online news site, and thought it would be the perfect gift for my brother. It combines Greece, WWII, and a true story in one making for what seems to be a great non-fiction read.
That was all I purchased for Black Friday. I did a little bit of shopping on Cyber Monday, but it was mostly on Groupon (I’ll probably get more into it in a later blog post). Though it’s not much, it will definitely give me a leg up on my Christmas shopping going into the season.
